Ok, I'm back on the track. Forget what I wrote @ Sivuraide. So, I'm currently in Hyvinkää and trying to add the prototypical railway crossings. It will take some time for my dear fscking Vista got himself updated and screwed up all the graphics. Now I'm trying to figure out (with an axe) how the hell am I supposed to edit with invisible objects...?  (Half of the objects and splines are now transparent or invisible and it doesn't matter )

OK, I had to release the Hel-Hy section now for I've no idea how long it'll take to get my laptop fixed. The map is an early release so please, consider the Hel-Hy section as a beta-version. The Hel-Tku could maybe considered as a finished one. (The Western part of the yard sucks...)

I'm trying to fix my problems (with an axe) but I've no idea when I'll be able to editate once again.  Thank you Vista and your graphic drivers!

Ehkäpä olisi aika siirtyä Windows 7:aan pikkuhiljaa Windows 8:aa odotellessa. Itselläni Vista toimi kannettavassa "kohtuullisesti", mutta kone oli aika mopo pelitarkoituksiin ja kartoin ajurien vaihtamista tai lisäämistä.

On kuitenkin mukavaa, että jaksat vastoinkäymistä huolimatta tallentaa suomalaista rautatiemaisemaa. Se on varsinainen kulttuuriteko!

I can't download session file via content manager

I am truly amazed with your work, but there is one problem. I can't run Rantarata with Trainz 2009.
I have been able to run all your releases until YTV, but when I try to run Rantarata it starts whining about missing files or route being damaged.

I have also discovered that all of your routes have a junkload of missing dependencies, out of which none is downloadable. My first guess is that these two facts mentioned must have some connection. So is there a possibility for you to mail me the missing dependencies if I list them?

Thank you for your comments! I'd like to add some information which, it seems, I forgot in the first message:

• Rantarata requires a session or the speedboards won't function correctly. The session can only be downloaded from the link above.
• The newer versions (from Helsinki-Karjaa onwards) require Finnish signalling and almost all the Finnish content/objects published so far. The content was downloadable @ Sivuraide.net and I hope to get it downloadable here too.
• Trainz 2009 requires the latest Service Pack, build 3.3 or newer to be installed, or the map won't open/work properly. NOTE: Installing the SP is a pain and you should save ALL your downloaded content as *.cdp-files before trying to install the upgrade. If everything goes fine you'll have a smoother Trainz 2009, if not, you'll need to re-install Trainz.
• Missing dependencies can't be downloaded from the DLS. If having problems with the missing dependencies it most probably has something to do with the versions of the Trainz. (If you've downloaded all the Finnish content.)

Lienee jotain vikaa Ilmeran liitetiedostojen käsittelyssä, sillä olen tullut samaan tulokseen Firefoxin kanssa ja MPC Kromi ilmoittaa, että lataus on keskeytynyt aina vaan ja uudelleen. Olen tästä laittanut postia Ilmeran ylläpidolle.Jos liitetiedostot eivät toimi tässä Ilmeran beta-versiossa, niin siitäkin olisi hyvä saada tietää.

Tosiaankin Googlen Cromella voi liitetiedostoja imuroida. Metkaa, että IE9 9.0.8112.16421IC ei näytä edes Imeran etusivulla keskustelupalstaa. Tosin kuka nyt sitten IE:tä käyttää.

Sainpahan lopulta tunnukseni toimimaan. Ensi alkuun suurkiitos kaikille Suomi-ratojen rakentajille! Ja erityisesti Marikolle !!! Ostin syksyllä Trainzin kun näin että rantarataa on tehty. Oli elämäni suurimpia simuelämyksiä ajaa junalla rantarataa - oli niin hienosti mallinnettu. Tosi hienoa työtä. Installing service packages seems impossible. It looks to me like Trainz is rejecting all service packages for some reason which I cannot figure out.
So I bought Trainz 2012. Rantarata works with a few bugs:

- The finnish wagons EIT, EIN are not working.
- The swedish gantry does not work, so basicly Rantarata is unelectrified from Turku to Karjaa.
- Tracks do not follow the enclosures.
- Tracks are broken at a few places.
- Tunnels through rocks do not appear, but they are still there.

Still I absolutely love your work. If you haven't upgraded to Trainz 2012 yet, then here you sure have some hints on what you might have to cope with.

Been working on Lahnajärvi the last weeks but think I'll continue editing Päärata soon. When all the libraries/content from Sivuraide.net is transfered here I'll update this thread and link all the content used to some kind of a dependencies list. Then I'll hopefully be in Riihimäki.

I think I'll keep on using the Trainz2009 for I'm running on a three year ole laptop. Think you'll got the reason...

Right, I'll swap the conversation from http://keskustelu.ilmera.net/index.php/topic,100158.0.html about the Metro here. I've edited the Helsinki metro a few miles so far. Been using the "walls", "fences" and other stuff yet not the tunnels. Still, the track doesn't look too good. Well, things are about to change now when I've reached the surface - some places can almost look like an identifiable! The main reason for the outlook is my lack of time/skill to edit textures so I've been using the default ones. At least you don't have to download them all over the place...

One suggestion might be if I'll just upload the "Rantarata & YTV-projekti", in the current state, here and everyone interested can have a look and say what they think about it and I won't be editing anything near Helsinki so the later mergeing, if anyone got interested and something came out, 'll be easy for example in the Kulosaari-map square.

I was just thinking if someone is interested in editing Hyvinkään konepaja and/or other branch lines in Hyvinkää? Never been myself at Hyvinkään konepaja nor having any good pics...

Jampan teollisuusraide is also a non-edited branch yet it's just something I couldn't be arsed to edit

Yes, the tracks between Ruoholahti and Kalasatama do exist with stations, junctions, levers and so on yet the tunnels and the stations just look terrible. There are also some rather disturbing elements with the elevation variation and the roofs (concrete slab) in "non-tunnel"tunnel section. Currently the tunnels are like in the pics below.

Here is also a list of the things which might be needed for a decent outlook:

• textures, mainly for the stations. maybe some kind of wall spline with advertisements?
• better elevation variation
• some scenery objects, etc signals and a yellow third rail
• ideas?

Anyone really interested?

Nay, too easy.  Maybe I am just a little bit lazy but my atha problem is the resolution. The junctions, signals and atha misc. details just can't be seen. When editing, I've been mainly using the Google Street View (and eniro.fi or fonecta.fi maps) for then all the little details can be seen. Maybe I just won't (yet) add the Hyvinkään Konepaja to my current project.

The third rail is suitable for these lines fairly well. This information is sufficient.

Sugoi! When I've updated these and completed editing Riiimäki I'll be finally able to publish Helsinki - Riihimäki-section. Then you'll see that monster called Helsinki Metro... (We'll see if anyone want's to work with it  )
